Sofia Lugo

Sofia Lugo is portrayed by Danay Garcia in the Fox network's drama series Prison Break. She is introduced during the third season of the show. She is the girlfriend of James Whistler, who is incarcerated in Sona penitentiary along with Michael Scofield, who was put there in order to break Whistler out. She joins forces outside the prison with Scofield's brother Lincoln Burrows in order to find a way for their loved ones to escape Sona, as well as to learn the truth about Whistler and why he was imprisoned.

Susan B. Anthony

Susan B. Anthony is portrayed by Jodi Lyn O’Keefe in the Fox network’s drama series Prison Break. She is introduced during the third season of the show. Susan is said to be an agent and operative working for the Company, and is apparently named or codenamed after the 19th century civil rights leader who fought for women’s suffrage in America.

Lechero

Lechero is portrayed by Robert Wisdom in the Fox network's drama series Prison Break. He is introduced during the third season of the show. Lechero is a drug lord and kingpin who rules over the lawless Sona penitentiary with an iron fist, imposing rules and discipline among the often unruly inmates, and helping enforce some semblance of order in the absence of any real guards and administrative staff.

James Whistler

James Whistler is a fictional character from the American television series Prison Break. He is played by Chris Vance. The character was introduced to the series as a regular in the premiere episode of the third season of the series.

Little is known thus far about Whistler. He is a prisoner at Sona Federal Penitentiary in Panama. He is first seen in the episode Orientación hiding within a crawlspace below the room of Lechero, the de facto leader of the prison.

When he first saw Brad Bellick, he offered him food in return for a favor: When a fight broke out inmates (one of whom was Michael Scofield) Bellick was to place a note on each of the two inmates. He was apparently attempting to send a message to Sofia Lugo (Whistler girlfriend), a woman he'd been involved with on the outside, ensuring his note would get out when either inmate was killed and the body was removed. Sofia found the note, which read :

"VERSAILLES 1989 V MADRID". It's meaning is not yet known.

The Company seems to have an interest in Whistler for some reason and was apparently the reason Michael's incarceration in Sona was arranged in the first place. One of their operatives, Elliott Pike, approached Michael and offered their support if he breaks Whistler out. When he refused, another operative, Susan B. Anthony, approached Michael's brother Lincoln Burrows and informed them that Lincoln's son L.J. Burrows and Michael girlfriend Sara Tancredi were being held hostage by the Company and would be killed if Michael didn't break Whistler out within a week.

Pad Man

The Padman played by Leon Russom, is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. He oversees a military research facility in Long Island and holds the rank of General. Pad Man's true identity is not known, and he is instead identified by a characteristic; in his case, his tendency to issue his orders on notepads, rather than verbal communication, to avoid audio recording spying equipment. The character's name has yet to be mentioned on the show but is referred to as "Pad Man" in the episode credits and "Prison Break"'s official website.

According to some well informed Prison Break websites Pad Man will be back in Episode 5 of Season 3 as an "important character".

Agent Kim

William "Bill" Kim is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. He is played by Reggie Lee. The character was introduced to the series as a Secret Service agent assigned to President Caroline Reynolds; however, he appears to be a fairly high-ranking employee of "The Company". Kim was apparently the man in charge of eliminating any and all threats to the Company, such as the Fox River Eight and Aldo Burrows and his network of followers.

He acts as an intermediary agent between the President and Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein), which causes ill feelings between them. Shortly after the Fox River Eight escape, Kim becomes Kellerman's new supervisor. Kellerman is dismayed by this, as he has directly reported to Reynolds for 15 years. Kim explains that this is due to Reynolds's being increasingly busy with other matters, as well as to further insulate her from any potential allegations of wrongdoing.

Appearances

Kim was introduced in the second season's fifth episode, "Map 1213" as Kellerman's supervisor and has appeared in almost every episode thereafter.

Season 2

Kim is critical of Kellerman's decision to shadow Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) until she leads him to Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), as opposed to actively intervening in the manhunt. Kim later agrees to let Kellerman continue to shadow Dr. Tancredi, but reiterates that Kellerman will be reporting to him and not the President.

Kim later learns that Dr. Tancredi's father, Illinois Governor Frank Tancredi (John Heard), is wise to Kellerman, and possibly the conspiracy. He arranges for the murder of the elder Tancredi, and plots to kill Sara as well.

The character continually plots the deaths of various characters in order to silence them or force others to work for him. In "Bolshoi Booze", Kim orders an agent under him to eliminate Lincoln Burrows, L. J. Burrows (Marshall Allman) and Lincoln's father Aldo Burrows (Anthony Denison), who had reunited at Aldo's safehouse. To Kim's dismay, the agent fails. After this, Kim orders Kellerman to kill Sara, who has already been tortured by Kellerman in order to learn the location of her father's evidence. However, Sara escapes. Tired of Kellerman's failures, Kim has him cut off, disavowing any records relating him to President Reynolds.

In the episode "The Killing Box", Kellerman calls Kim with a plan to eliminate the recently recaptured Lincoln and Michael. Kim agrees but then instructs Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner) to kill Kellerman. Kim's own superior (referred to as the "Pad Man" in the episode credits), who communicates only through terse hand-written notes, is also introduced in this episode. In the following episode, "John Doe", Kim learns of Kellerman's betrayal and orders that Terrance Steadman be moved to secondary site, only to find out from the Secret Service that Kellerman had already arrived and had grabbed Steadman. He orders them to kill everybody, including Steadman, but Kellerman takes out the agents first.

His character further breaks down in "The Message" when a videotape made by Michael and Lincoln started broadcasting, implicating "The Company" and President Reynolds and all of their crimes. Wanting to outsmart Kellerman, Kim uses a female agent and voice alteration equipment to call Kellerman posing as President Reynolds in the next episode, "Chicago". However, Kellerman eventually sees through Kim's trick. In the meantime, Kim sends Mahone after Charles "Haywire" Patoshik and to eliminate him.

After learning Sara's sudden appearance at a private cigar club, where her father was a member, Kim attempts and fails to recover a USB drive which contains evidence that could damage "The Company" and the President. In the following episode, "Wash", Kim orders a man to pose as Cooper Green, who was already under surveillance. He again tries to retrieve the USB drive but fails when Michael figures out that the man is an impostor. Since the captured fugitive, Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin, was no longer of use, Kim tells Mahone to kill him.

After Michael got himself arrested by the Secret Service in an attempt to blackmail the President, Kim proceeds to torture Michael for information on his brother's location. However, Reynolds intervenes and, to Kim's shock, says she will give a full pardon to Lincoln and Michael. Just before the press conference, Kim reminds her that The Company can expose Reynolds' secrets (namely, the incestuous affair she carried on with her brother Terrence Steadman) just as easily as Michael, and Reynolds announces instead that a malignant form of cancer will cause her to resign the presidency.

After finding out Michael and Lincoln were in Panama, Kim then proceeded to attempt to use the captured Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell to try and capture the brothers. However, this plot fails when Michael corners the two Company agents supervising Bagwell.

In the season finale, despite Kellerman's testimony exonerating Lincoln and Sara and exposing the conspiracy, Kim is instructed by Pad Man to kill Lincoln and take Michael to Sona. However, he fails in his mission and was shot by Sara Tancredi just in time before he could kill Lincoln.

Frank Tancredi

Frank Tancredi (March 7, 1945 - July 1, 2005), played by John Heard, is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. He is a main recurring character that made selected appearances throughout the series.

Born on March 7, 1945,Tancredi was introduced to the series as the governor of the state of Illinois and the father of Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies). His strict policies on crime earned him the nickname "Frontier Justice Frank". He disapproved of his daughter's decision to work at Fox River State Penitentiary. The character plays a major role in both the escape plot of the first season and the conspiracy plot of the second season due to his involvement in the death sentence of the protagonist, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).

Appearances

The character, Frank Tancredi, made his first appearance in the series in the episode, "Riots, Drills and the Devil". After the character was killed off in episode, "Buried", he appeared again in the episode, "Bolshoi Booze" via a flashback sequence.

Season 1

He travelled to Fox River when his daughter's life was threatened during a prison riot. After the crisis had passed, Tancredi seemed more interested in reminding her how unsafe work in a prison could be than expressing relief at her safety. This incident further strained their relationship.

When Sara asked him to review Lincoln Burrows' case on the scheduled day of his execution, he ultimately decided not to grant clemency, apparently at the request of the Vice President. Tancredi later revealed to his daughter that he did not review the information she gave him from Lincoln Burrows' attorneys. His reason for his refusal to grant clemency was linked to Vice President Caroline Reynolds (Patricia Wettig). Tancredi has since been suggested by several press sources as a potential Vice Presidential candidate when Vice President Reynolds ran for the Presidency.

Soon after, Reynolds was sworn in as the President after the sudden death of President Mills.

Season 2

After paying for his daughter's bail for release, Tancredi reveals her that he would soon be sworn in as the next Vice President of the United States. Later, Tancredi is encouraged by a political strategist to distance himself from his daughter, which he refuses to do. He visits her at her apartment, and she apologizes for the problems she has caused for him, but also reasserts her belief that Lincoln Burrows is innocent. This prompts Tancredi to take a second look at the Burrows case, and he is shocked to learn of the deaths of Nick Savrinn (Frank Grillo) and Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney). The political strategist suggests he let it go.

In a later episode, while discussing his forthcoming Senate confirmation hearing with the strategist, Tancredi sees Agent Kellerman (Paul Adelstein), who he recognizes from Sara's apartment. This encounter convinces him that Sara may be right about the conspiracy after all, and calls Sara to warn her that her new "friend" is not to be trusted. Soon after, President Reynolds abruptly withdraws the nomination, despite sufficient support in the Senate for his confirmation. Sara found her father dead shortly afterward in the governor's residence. Although Agent Kim's men made it look like he had hanged himself, Sara refuses to believe that her father could have committed suicide. According to Agent Kim, he had become a liability to the Conspiracy by getting too close to Kellerman's secret, and thus could not be left alive. Tancredi died on June 1, 2005.

The reason for Kim's decision to kill Frank Tancredi was explained in later episodes, where it is revealed that the late governor had acquired an important telephone recording between Caroline Reynolds and Terrence Steadman that took place two weeks after Steadman's reported death. Tancredi hid the USB flash drive that contained the recorded conversation in his private humidor at a Chicago cigar club called "Corona del Oro". After his death, Sara found the key to his humidor and aided Michael and Lincoln in recovering potential evidence that could exonerate Lincoln.

Nick Savrinn

Nick Savrinn, played by Frank Grillo, is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. He was introduced in the fourth episode of the series as a lawyer working for Project Justice, an organization that frees wrongly convicted people.

Nick graduated from Duke University and Columbia Law School with a Juris Doctor and turned down offers from many large firms in New York City to work for Project Justice. During his time there, he freed thirteen clients, five of whom had the death penalty. Although Project Justice refused to help Veronica Donovan (Robin Tunney) with Lincoln Burrows' (Dominic Purcell) case, Nick offered to do pro bono work because he believed Lincoln was innocent.

Caroline Reynolds

Caroline Reynolds, played by Patricia Wettig, is a fictional character from the American television series Prison Break. She is a recurring character introduced in the second episode of the series as a mysterious woman whose face was not shown until the eighth episode of the series, where she was revealed to be the Vice President of the United States. Her brother, Terrence Steadman, is the man whom Lincoln Burrows was convicted of killing.

In the first season, Reynolds is affiliated with a covert organization known as " The Company " with whom she shares the same goal - to make sure that Lincoln Burrows is executed for her brother's "murder." Due to Patricia Wettig's commitment to another television series, Brothers & Sisters, the character's first appearance in the second season was in the nineteenth episode, "Sweet Caroline," for which Wettig was credited as a "Special Guest Star." Despite Reynolds's extended absence prior to this episode, the plot continued to develop around her, and Wettig provided voiceovers for the second season episodes "The Message" and "Chicago".

Henry Pope

Henry Pope, played by Stacy Keach, is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. The character was introduced to the series as the warden of Fox River State Penitentiary. For eighteen years, he has dedicated to making sure prisoners become productive members of society after they are released so he has organized the prison industry program, which allows inmates to gain real work experience. He also runs an educational program that allows inmates to receive their GED and even bachelor degrees. He has been married to his wife Judith for 39 years.

L. J. Burrows

Lincoln Burrows, Jr. (L. J.), played by Marshall Allman, is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. The younger L. J. shown in flashbacks is played by Nickolas Loquercico. The actor Marshall Allman was listed as part of the main cast in the opening credits until the fourteenth episode of the second season, "John Doe". L. J. Burrows is a main character in the series but is one of the least-featured main characters.

L. J.'s mother and father separated when he was young. His father, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) visited him every Sunday after the separation and eventually paid scarce visits to him. Hurt by his father's isolation from him, L. J. dismissed that Lincoln was his father. Raised by his mother, Lisa Rix (Jessalyn Gilsig), L. J. was a normal fifteen-year-old living in the Chicago suburbs until Lincoln lost his appeal. That, coupled with Michael being sentenced to five years in prison, affected L. J. greatly.

Veronica Donovan

Veronica Donovan, played by Robin Tunney, is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. The younger Veronica is portrayed by Annie Yokom, who has only appeared once in the series - in episode "Brother's Keeper".

Veronica Donovan dated Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) while they were in high school despite them being two very different people. She moved away from the city life of Chicago to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she received a B.A. in political science. After receiving her Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas, she moved back to Chicago and worked as a real estate lawyer at Bianchi and Guthrie.

Alexander MAHONE

Alexander Mahone joined the army shortly after he turned 18. He began as a low-level grunt and worked his way up the ranks to Special Operative in the first Gulf War. He is played by William FICHTNER.

From there Mahone became an FBI Agent. His reputation grew as he apprehended criminal after criminal, but got some negative attention when he took on the case of Oscar Shales. He never officially caught the fugitive but he served his own swift form of vigilante justice. He murdered Shales and buried him. Charges were never brought.

Agent Mahone’s next case was the Fox River 8. He methodically tracked down the escapees. And, one by one, administered his own brand of justice, killing many of them in cold blood. But the capture of the mastermind, Michael Scofield, eluded him. Mahone went as far as enlisting the help of a former guard and (and later, inmate) of Fox River, Brad Bellick.

Agent Mahone chased Scofield all the way to Panama. But by then Mahone wasn’t concerned with putting Scofield back behind bars. Mahone had cut all ties with the FBI and hoped to take the money Scofield had dug up with the other escapees and start a new life with his wife and family in Columbia. This plan ended up back firing when an anonymous tip to the Panamanian police informed them that Mahone could be found on a sailboat filled with cocaine and attempting to cross through the Panama Canal. The Panamanian Police took Mahone, who maintains he was set up, into custody.

Mahone now faces charges of possession of a narcotic with intent to traffic and awaits trial in Sona.

Brad BELLICK

Captain Bellick passed the Correctional Officer Exam the autumn after he graduated from high school and has been employed at Fox River Penitentiary ever since. In that time, he slowly and steadily climbed up the C.O. ranks. He is played by Wade Williams.

Three years ago, despite several claims of inmate abuse (none of which could ever be corroborated), Bellick was promoted to the position of captain, the highest rank a C.O. can earn. His duties included: aiding in the transportation of death row inmates to the electric chair, supervising Fox River’s prison industries program and overseeing the day-to-day operations of all the inmates in general population.

Captain Bellick’s practices were called into question after The Fox River Eight escaped on his watch. His job with the Department of Corrections was swiftly terminated, leaving Bellick to ponder what the future held for him. Looking for revenge, Bellick teamed with another disgraced Fox River C.O., Roy Geary, to track down the eight escapees. Their desire for revenge quickly turned to greed when they discovered the escapees were likely going to dig up five million dollars in stolen money.

Bellick and Geary caught up with T-Bag in Kansas. T-Bag has recently stolen the five million dollars from the other escapees, so Bellick and Geary tortured him to find out where he had stashed Westmoreland’s money. Once they found the money , Geary double crossed Bellick and took it all for himself. T-Bag later caught up with Geary. Murdered him, and framed Bellick for the killing.

Bellick soon found himself back at Fox River, but this time as a prisoner. His stay was a short one, though, because the FBI cut a deal with Bellick so he could assist in tracking down the escaped prisoners.

Bellick later headed to Panama, supposedly going after the illusive five million dollars. While in Panama, he was found with a dead prostitute in a local hotel room. He’s awaiting trial in Sona Prison.

Agent Paul Kellerman

He is played by Paul Adelstein. Agent Kellerman graduated from West Point fifteen years ago with a near-flawless record. He was almost immediately dispatched to Kuwait and because of the bravery and valor he demonstrated in combat in the first Gulf War, he became the first in his class to achieve the rank of captain. Kellerman had a promising career ahead of him in the Army, but the federal government noticed his potential and poached him, offering him a leadership position within the Secret Service.

Kellerman immediately went to work for Vice President Carolyn Reynolds’ detail, carefully orchestrating her plan for securing the Presidency. Once Reynolds’ gained the White House, Kellerman learned he would no longer be in her life. Bill Kim, a liaison was brought in and told Kellerman he would now report solely to him. Sensing a major distrust within the Administration, Kellerman realized he was being frozen out and turned rogue, partnering with Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield to bring down President Reynolds.

Dr. Sara Tancredi

Dr. Sara Tancredi is a fictional character from the American television series, Prison Break. She is played by Sarah Wayne Callies. As one of the main characters in the series, the character has appeared in almost every episode. Her main role in the first season of the series is as a prison doctor and the love interest of the protagonist, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller). As the season progresses, Sara's role expands with her increased involvement in the main plot. In the second season, the evolution of the character further increases her role as one of the show's main characters.

Raised in Chicago, Sara Tancredi's ambitions to be a doctor began when she was very young. While at Northwestern University, she was introduced to the works of Mahatma Gandhi and decided to become a humanitarian, which later influenced her decision to work at Fox River State Penitentiary. Another factor which contributed to her occupational choice was her past morphine addiction, culminating in being unable to help a boy after he was run over due to being high, which was revealed in a flashback episode of the first season, "Brother's Keeper". At 29 years old, Dr. Sara Tancredi was one of the few doctors working at Fox River. Her chosen occupation became a constant source of stress for her father. Sara is the only child of the Governor of Illinois, Frank Tancredi (played by John Heard). Due to her father's hectic political career and vastly differing beliefs, she did not have a close relationship with him. In episode "Buried", it was revealed that her mother has already died.

As one of the few doctors on staff, Sara is responsible for everything from administering physicals to performing emergency surgery. Though Sara doesn’t think twice about the risks she puts herself in every day, it is a constant source of stress for her father, Illinois Governor “Frontier Justice” Frank Tancredi. That, along with their vastly different political beliefs, has cooled their relationship significantly in recent years.

But despite her history of drugs, no one would have predicted however, that Sara would have ever engaged in criminal activity. Immediately following the Fox River eight’s escapes, authorities discovered that the infirmary door was left unlocked, thereby allowing the inmates to access an easy escape route from the prison. After questioning several Fox River employees in the medical wing, Sara became a prime suspect in aiding and abetting the escape; it appeared it was she –who left the door open.

When Chicago PD arrived at her apartment to question her, they found her in a coma, having overdosed from morphine. However, Sara recuperated fairly quickly and was taken into custody for questioning. Governor Tancredi posted her bail, but was later found dead in his residence from apparent suicide. Sara has been at large since leaving the state.
